Free Motivation Program

Week 1 Day 5

If you’ve just stumbled across this post, you can start at the beginning of this program by clicking here.

If you’re struggling with staying on track during the day, make sure you plan a really yummy (but still healthy) dinner to look forward to. I find it much harder to stay on track if I don’t have something yummy at the end of the day to hold out for.

Challenge 1:

Meditation will help you get more in touch with your body. It’ll just help you feel more connected to yourself, and if you do it regularly enough, you’ll feel how your body feels different when you eat different foods and do different exercise. So your first challenge today is to meditate. You can do it in the morning, or evening, or whenever you’ve got 10 minutes (or however long you want) to yourself. If you’ve never done this before, or just need some guidance, find some videos on YouTube. There’s 100’s of guided meditations that will walk you through breathing and relaxing. Try to fit this in a few times a week from now.

Motivational Quote 1:

Our bodies are capable of anything, it’s our minds that we have to convince.

Challenge 2:

Give up soft drink, even the diet ones. Having super sweet food and drink in your diet, even when they don’t have any sugar, will keep you craving sweetness. If you can cut out the artificially sweet stuff and get your sweet fix from fruit instead, after a few days, you won’t be so reliant on the fake stuff. Start a tally in the front of your journal to show how many days you can go without soft drink. Re-start after every time you cave in.

Motivational Quote 2:

You can choose to feel sore tomorrow, or you can choose to feel sorry tomorrow. You choose.

End of the Day:

Journal Time. How was your meditation? How did you feel before and after? Do you think it’s going to be easy to cut out soft drink? How many days do you think you can do it for? Have you been drinking at least 2L of water every day still?
