Nars Liquid Lipstick Review

After my disastrous purchase and review of the Too Faced Melted Matte Lipstick, I decided I needed to try again. My mission, to find a liquid lipstick that stays on and looking good all day.

So, back to Mecca Maxima I went. I wandered around looking for what I thought would work. Mauve was my colour of choice this time, and every time I found one in a shade I liked, I tested it on my hand, let it dry, and then conducted a smudge test. They all failed.

Finally, an employee asked if I needed any help and I told her what I was after. She knew exactly where to go, over to the Nars counter, and plucked out the perfect shade, American Woman.

$38 later, I had a new lipstick.

So, how did it stack up?

Application was easy and normal, and when it dried my lips didn’t feel dry and uncomfortable. There was a little bit of transfer to other objects, fingers, straws, etc, but no smudging outside the lines of my lips, which is what I was after.

And after 9 hours, the lipstick was still in place, although a tiny bit faded. And when it came time to take it off, Micellar Water worked perfectly.

The Verdict

Worth your money. It’s a good quality beautiful lipstick. Good for long lasting wear, and I’d be confident to wear it on a night out.

  1. Hello ,

I saw your tweet about animals and thought I will check your website. I like it!

I love pets. I have two beautiful thai cats called Tammy(female) and Yommo(male). Yommo is 1 year older than Tommy. He acts like a bigger brother for her. 🙂
I have even created an Instagram account for them ( https://www.instagram.com/tayo_home/ ) and probably soon they will have more followers than me (kinda funny).

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Keep up the good work on your blog.

    Regards
